A person is dead after a crash in which a car is understood to have a hit a traffic light in central Auckland.
Another occupant of the vehicle has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after the crash on Stanley Street.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident just after 9pm on Sunday
Diversions remain in place and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
