Police have released the name of the man who died following a fiery crash near Invercargill on 12 February.
Chad Wilfrid Waitiri, 41, of Bluff died after his car crashed and caught fire on Bluff Highway.
Fire and Emergency said four fire trucks went to the scene and crews arrived to find a car fully alight.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
"Police extend our condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time," police said in a statement.
Police were still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
