A man has escaped from a shooting unharmed and has since fled the scene after shots were fired at a gym in southwest Sydney.
Images from the shopping centre complex on Steer Road, Gregory Hills, show officers setting up an exclusion area, with particular focus on World Gym.
NSW Police said in a statement officers were called to the area about 8.35am after reports of shots being fired.
"Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and found a number of shots had been fired towards a man outside the gym," the statement said.
"The man is believed to have left the scene immediately."
There were no reports of injuries, police said.
Yvonne was in a nearby shop and told 702 ABC Radio Sydney she heard up to eight shots.
"They shut the doors, and we all ran to the back of the shop and waited to see what was going on," she said.
"But yeah, it would've been scary if you had've been out in the car park. It's all been fenced off, so we had to move our cars."
