Some schools in French Polynesia are closed today because of the latest one-day strike by teachers.
The stoppage affecting schools in Papeete is in protest at planned pension reforms and part of a long-running campaign across France.

Those in French Polynesia want the current system to be retained, which takes into account the benefits of having worked outside Europe.
They want the pension to still be calculated on the basis of the income of the last six months of work.
