There are three new cases of Covid-19 reported today in New Zealand's managed isolation and quarantine facilities.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health said one of the new cases is classified as historical and deemed not infectious.
There are no new cases in the community.
The first person who tested positive for Covid-19, the historical case, arrived from Indonesia and did not leave the ship they were on prior to being tested. They were tested to be able to depart the ship.
A second person, who arrived on 29 January, had travelled through Singapore and tested positive for Covid-19 on day three.
The third person to test positive had arrived in the country two days ago from the United States. They tested positive on arrival and are now in quarantine in Christchurch.
The ministry said two cases which were reported yesterday have been reclassified as under investigation, as they are likely to be historical cases which may have previously been reported overseas.
It also said 12 previously reported cases had now recovered.
The total number of active cases in New Zealand is now 61 and the total number of confirmed cases is 1952.
There has been a total of 1,541,701 Covid-19 tests processed to date and yesterday 4106 tests were processed.
The NZ Covid Tracer app now has 2,549,183 registered users.
As of yesterday, the managed isolation system was fully booked out until June.
