The earthquake-damaged Knox Presbyterian Church in Christchurch is being rebuilt for $5.5 million.
The 111-year-old building's timber frame on the corner of Bealey Avenue and Victoria Street has been left exposed to the elements for more than two years.
Knox Fundraising Committee chairperson Liz Baxendine says the rebuilt church will be made up of existing and new architecture and should be finished by the end of next year.
She says the cost will be covered by insurance, grants, and fundraising.
