Nicky Hager, whose book Hit & Run sparked an inquiry into New Zealand Defence Force actions in Afghanistan, will make two presentations at the second public phase of an inquiry into what happened.
The Operation Burnham Inquiry is investigating allegations that six civilians were killed in Afghanistan during a New Zealand-led raid in 2010, and the military covered up what happened.
Its second public hearing will begin in Wellington on 22 May, when Hager and a lawyer for Hit & Run co-author Jon Stephenson will make presentations.
Deborah Manning, who is representing the Afghanistan villagers at the heart of the inquiry, will also speak at the public hearing, along with Defence Force personnel.
Further public hearings will also take place in July.
