Joy for Danish, heartbreak for Cameroon

Denmark's come from behind to eliminate Cameroon from the football World Cup finals with a 2-1 victory in Pretoria.

Cameroon scored first through Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o but Nicklas Bendtner equalised before half-time and Dennis Rommedahl got the winner with less than half an hour remaining at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The African team's the first to miss out on reaching the last 16, and their demise guarantees the Netherlands a place in the second round, after the Dutch beat Japan 1-nil earlier in Durban.

10-man Australia have drawn 1-1 with Ghana at Rustenberg to remain alive, but they're relying on other results to progress.
