A $50,000 reward has been offered by police investigating the death of a Paeroa businessman.

Jordan Voudouris, 55, was found shot to death outside his pizza shop in June last year.

Detective Sergeant Glenn Tinsley says the reward may prompt people holding key pieces of information to come forward.

Mr Tinsley says up to $50,000 will be paid for information or evidence that leads to the identity and conviction of anyone responsible for Mr Voudouris' death.

Officers believe the incentive may be necessary to needed to get someone who hasn't already spoken to investigators to come forward.
