Federated Farmers has just appointed a new chief executive.
Graham Smith joins the national lobby group from Soda Incorporated a Waikato business start up.
Before that he was chief executive of the Crown Research Institute ESR and also worked for AgResearch.
Mr Smith will start in July and replaces Conor English who has been in the job for six years.
