Police arrested a 32-year-old man following an aggravated robbery that put several Hastings schools into lockdown this afternoon.
Officers, including the armed offenders squad, responded to reports of a robbery at a bar on King Street at about 12pm.
They then travelled to a residential adress on Karamu Road South trying to locate the offenders.
A police spokesperson said officers were still seeking one more person in relation to the robbery and they were speaking to the man who was in custody.
All cordons have been removed and the police have now left the Karamu Road and Pattison Road area.
Several local schools were put in lockdown as a result of the incident but students have since gone home.
