Cabinet minister Kiri Allan says RNZ would be welcome to release the full transcript of her speech, in which she criticised the public broadcaster's treatment of Māori staff.
Allan made the comments a farewell event for her partner Māni Dunlop and later apologised for them.
RNZ has released two paragraphs from the speech, but is withholding the rest to protect the privacy of those at the farewell.
Allan said releasing the transcript was a decision for the broadcaster.
"They engaged with us on Friday about what they were going to release. I said to them they were more than welcome to release the whole transcript but ultimately that's a decision for them.
"I'm in a bit of a spot of bother because it may have looked like I was directing them, so I certainly am not going to direct them again, but look, from my perspective happy for that transcript of my remarks to be released.
"I would have done it myself, but it was a little bit off the cuff ... so I don't have a copy."
