Police in American Samoa have arrested a beauty salon owner and two volleyball players for failure to comply with emergency rules put in place by the government in response to the covid-19 pandemic.
Samoa News reports that the three individuals appeared in court yesterday where they were each charged with a misdemeanour in relation to alleged breaches of public restrictions.
All defendants were ordered to comply with all of the requirements set by the American Samoa Government for the covid-19 lockdown.
Several businesses around the island have received warnings from the Department of Public Safety about non-compliance with the Government's State of Emergency.
