A 40-year-old man has been charged with firearms offences after an incident in South Auckland.

Police were called shortly after 7pm on Wednesday a report of a man in possession of a firearm at an Ōtara address.
He was arrested at 10pm.
No-one was reported to be injured.
The man was due to appear in the Manukau District Court on Thursday.
