The Ministry of Health is appealing against a court ruling that overturned its decision to stop funding New Zealand's largest gambling service.
The ministry last year stripped the Problem Gambling Foundation of its funding and gave most of its contracts to the Salvation Army.
The High Court then set aside that decision in July.
The ministry has confirmed the Crown has lodged an appeal.
