The Commonwealth Games ended with a spectacular closing ceremony in Delhi.
The song and dance closing ceremony lasted three hours in the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi as India passed the baton to Glasgow for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Prince Edward declared: "I proclaim the 19th Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 closed.
"And in accordance with the tradition, I call upon the sportsmen and sportswomen of the Commonwealth to assemble in four years time in Glasgow, Scotland, to celebrate the 20th Commonwealth Games."
Organising Committee boss Suresh Kalmadi said earlier that Delhi had staged "a great Games".
Many Indians are now saying India will be ready to host the Olympic Games as soon as 2020.

Commonwealth Games Federation president Michael Fennell acknowledged that not everything had gone to plan, citing poor attendance at stadiums and the failure to attract some of the biggest names in athletics to Delhi.
The event also had a chaotic buildup.
However, he insisted that Delhi had not tarnished the international reputation of the Commonwealth Games, but he said things could be learned ahead of the 2014 event in Glasgow.
