ANZ Bank says 39 New Zealand workers may lose their jobs as the company considers moving the roles to the Philippines.
The proposal will affect staff who manage debt-management and collections for the Australian arm of the bank.
The roles have been held by Wellington staff for almost five years.
If the proposal goes ahead, the roles will move to Manila by October, ANZ said.
The company said it hoped the displaced workers would be offered jobs in other parts of the bank.
