The former All Black prop Carl Hayman has been suspended by Pau and is set to leave the French rugby club.
The Top 14 club says 39 year old Hayman was involved in an altercation with several of his players on New Year's Eve.
The 45-cap All Black has been coaching the club's forwards since 2016.
Pau have announced that Hayman will remain under contract until June, but that he has been replaced as forwards' coach by Nicolas Godignon.
Fellow New Zealanders Simon Mannix, Conrad Smith and Paul Tito are also part of the coaching set-up.
Hayman won the French title and three European Cups as a player with Toulon.
There are seven Kiwi players including Colin Slade, Tom Taylor and Jamie McKintosh in the squad.
Meanwhile the former Chiefs coach Dave Rennie is staying with Glasgow Warriors in Scotland for another year.
After initially joining on a two-year deal, Rennie was due to be out of contract at the end of the current season but will now remain in his post until next year.
Speaking to BBC Scotland, the New Zealander said: "I'm going to be here for at least another year and a half - possibly longer.
"It's been really good. We're happy, and my wife is happy, that's the key.
"If I'm not here who is going to be running the show and contracting? It gives players clarity over who is going to be here."
In his first season Rennie guided Glasgow to the PRO14 semi-finals, and they currently top Conference A.
