A metal object believed to be plane wreckage has washed up off Malaysia, prompting speculation that it may be debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft MH370.
Local media are reporting that the object, which was white and two metres long, was spotted floating in the waters in the eastern state of Terengganu.
It was found along the same coastline facing the South China Sea as the Nakhon Si Thammarat province in Thailand, where suspected plane debris was found at the weekend.
Officials have said that debris did not belong to MH370, which disappeared in 2014 with 239 people on board.
Malaysian authorities are looking into the latest finding.
