Two Australian companies which employ seasonal workers from Fiji are under investigation by the Fair Works Ombudsman.
The FBC news reports Fiji's Employment Minister, Semi Koroilavesau released news of the investigation in a statement in parliament.
Fijians employed under the seasonal workers programme claim they have been exploited with unfair working conditions and are being underpaid.
Mr Koroilavesau who toured New Zealand and Australia last week stressed that the recruitment process for both countries under their seasonal work programmes will need to be fine-tuned
