A steelworker has been charged with the murder of a South Auckland man at a 21st birthday party.

The body of 24-year-old Chevy Midas Davis, was found in the driveway of an Otara house in the early hours of this morning.
His 28-year-old cousin was also injured, in what the police say was a fight over music.
The 28-year-old is in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital.
Detective Inspector Lynch said a knife or a sharp object was used, but it had not yet been found.
He also said he could not rule out the possibility of further charges, or arrests.
