The latest NZ On Air funding decisions are in, with 23 music projects getting the go-ahead in the final round under the Making Tracks scheme.

From tomorrow, we’ll see the New Music funding scheme come into play, which will see $2 million available for signed and unsigned artists to record a single and video, or for a project (made up of at least two consecutive singles) that has co-investment from a “professional music company” to the tune of at least 40% of the costs.

If you’re looking to have your music funded, you’ll need to know the ins and outs of how it works – this Q+A with David Ridler should help. Just keep in mind that the first New Music Single funding round is set to close tomorrow, while the New Music Project round is open until Friday August 12.

In the meantime, here’s who will have some money in the bank soon…
