05:02 am on 10 December 2018

The World Bank plans to accelerate development in the Northern Pacific after a ten day visit to Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.

Across the region, the bank is increasing funding from US$305 million to US$825 Million over a three year period ending in 2020.

The bank's Victoria Kwakwa met with presidents, Hilda Heine and Peter Christian, and told Jenny Meyer support is being stepped up over concerns about development constraints facing small island states.
