Entrepreneur Justine Ross has suffered critical injuries in an ATV crash near Wānaka.

Justine, who founded 42 Below Vodka and owns Lake Hāwea Station with husband Geoff, was among three people injured in the crash.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on a farm track off Timaru Creek Road about 6pm Sunday.

All three people were flown to hospital by helicopter.

The crash was caused by a mechanical failure, Geoff said.

He confirmed his wife had suffered critical injuries, but said all three were expected to make a full recovery.

The police Serious Crash Unit and WorkSafe have been notified.
