The Tauranga golfer Brad Iles has slipped 14 places to 20th at the Albertsons Boise Open on the Nationwide Tour in Idaho after a one under par 70 in the third round.

Iles, currently 108th on the Nationwide Order of Merit, is four shots back from the leaders American Jason Kokrak and India's Rahil Gangjee as he seeks his first win on the Nationwide Tour.

He needs a strong finish to 2011 to keep his dream of qualifying for the PGA Tour alive, the top 25 players on the money list automatically qualify for the game's most lucrative tour.

The New Zealand number one Danny Lee, who has all but qualified for the top 25 in 11th place on the standings, missed the cut as did compatriots Tim Wilkinson and Josh Geary.
