Tasman beat Hawke's Bay

08:35 am on 14 August 2010

Last year's semi-finalist Hawke's Bay have gone three matches without a win in the provincial rugby championship, as Tasman grabbed their first win of the season with a 21-7 victory in Blenheim on Thursday night.

The Marshall brothers, James and Tom, inspired Tasman scoring a try apiece for the Makos.

First five James scored against the run of play in the ninth minute. He set up winger James Kamana just after the break before brother and second five Tom touched down for the home side.

All Blacks Israel Dagg and Zac Guildford impressed for Hawke's Bay, but they missed openside flanker Karl Lowe who was ruled out of the match with a hamstring injury.

Dagg scored the only try for the Bay.
