The death toll from the H7N9 bird flu outbreak in China has risen to 43.
The National Health and Family Planning Commission said on Thursday that 132 people have been infected by the virus.
The latest figures represent one more case and four deaths during the month.
The virus was first reported in late March, with most cases confined to eastern China, and one reported outside the mainland, in Taiwan.
The World Health Organization has said there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission.
