The search for a missing swimmer in Lake Wānaka is continuing today.
Police were alerted last night shortly after the swimmer failed to resurface.
Subsequent recovery efforts, including Coastguard and local residents, proved unsuccessful.
Senior Sergeant Chris Brooks said the national dive squad was expected to be deployed later today.
