A Japanese business delegation will visit Samoa in July for a trip that is hoped to develop and secure partnerships with local businesses.

The Japanese Ambassador to Samoa, Kazumasa Shibuta, said Samoan products, such as cosmetics and flower extacts, could be developed for the Japanese and other export markets.

Talamua reports that only one Japanese business currently operates in Samoa, the wire harness manufacturer Yazaki Samoa, which employs hundreds of workers.
