English football champions Manchester City have closed the gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea to three points, after a nervy 1-0 home win over Everton.

Chelsea have lost for the first time this season in English football's Premier League.
The leaders went down 2-1 at Newcastle United on Sunday morning, thanks to two goals from substitute Papiss Cisse.
That ends Chelsea's attempt at a club record 24th straight match without defeat, and they now lead Manchester City by three points, after the champions beat Everton 1-0 in a nervy late match.
Yaya Toure scored the only goal from the spot, though the penalty on James Milner looked a harsh call.
The Premier League's leading scorer Sergio Aguero suffered a leg injury early in City's clash with Everton and looks doubtful for the club's key Champions League game at AS Roma next week.
Elsewhere, Stoke repelled Arsenal 3-2 while Liverpool were held to a scoreless draw at home to lowly Sunderland.
Tottenham Hotspur also drew 0-0, at home to London rivals Crystal Palace.
Also in London, Queen's Park Rangers beat Burnley 2-0, while up north, Hull drew 0-0 with visiting West Bromwich Albion.
