The treason trial of Fiji vice president Seniloli and five others resumed in Suva today with more names of people who joined Speight's rebel administration being revealed.

Radio Legend says the names were provided by senior police officer, Waisea Tabakau.

Mr Tabakau told the court that the names were found with one of the accused and current deputy Speaker of parliament, Vakalalabure.

They included the names of Col Ulaisi Vatu as the new commander of the military and Lt Col Tarakinikini as the new chief of staff.

Kinijioji Maivelili was to be primary industries minister, Sausauwai was to take the health portfolio, Eroni Lewagai - urban development, Tonitonivanua - forestry, Mitieli Bulanauca - lands, Manoa Moce - education, Viliame Savu - works, Leweniqila - tourism, Peceli Rinakama - youth and sports, and Viliame Volavola - housing.

Mr Tabakau said Vakalalabure phoned the military camp after the coup and tried to speak with the commander of the Third Battalion, Lt Col Viliame Seruvakula, failing which he left a message for the officer to call him back.

Telecom Fiji recorded the call about half an hour after the coup took place. END.
