The former Fiji netball coach/player Vilimaina Davu has been cleared to play for the LG Mystics in the new transtasman Championship.

The 31 year old former Silver Fern has been approved as the second ineligible player, the other is Auckland-based Samoan goal-shoot Cathrine Latu.

The initial application for Davu was declined in January based on the most recent assessment of Vilimaina's performance at the November World Championships.

However, Davu, has been on a training programme for 4 months where she has lifted her standards enough to take her place with the Yvonne Williering coached side.
