All Whites defender Winston Reid has ended the speculation surrounding his future by agreeing to sign a new contract with English Premier League football club West Ham United, ESPN reports.

With the 26-year-old New Zealander out of contract at the end of the season in June, there had been speculation that he was set to leave, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all thought to have been interested.

However, sources have told ESPN that Reid has opted against a move elsewhere and agreed to a long-term contract extension at Upton Park.

Reid joined the West Ham from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2010 and has gone on to become an integral part of their side.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce revealed this week that the team had made the defender "an exceptionally good offer," while chairman David Gold said on Twitter yesterday he was "hopeful" that Reid would extend his stay at the club.
