A dirt bike rider is in a critical condition in Middlemore Hospital, following a crash in Māngere East.
The crash on Raglan Street, which also involved a van, was reported to emergency services just before 4pm.
A section of Raglan Street, near Aorere Park, will be closed while the scene is examined, a police spokesperon said. Traffic diversions will be in place.
The Serious Crash Unit has been to the scene as part of an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
