Police are appealing for information following an aggravated robbery at a Bay of Plenty dairy.
At about 6am Monday, four offenders entered the River Road Dairy in Kawerau - one of whom was allegedly armed with a knife.
A fifth offender waited outside in a stolen car.
They threatened and assaulted a solo store attendant, stole cigarettes and cash and fled in the car, which was found abandoned later.
One youth has been charged with aggravated robbery and is due to appear in the Whakatāne Youth Court later.
Another youth is assisting with the police investigation.
The store attendant was shaken but not seriously injured.
