A Nauru opposition MP Roland Kun has several more days to wait in a fight with the government over his passport.
Mr Kun has applied for a judicial review of the government's decision to cancel his passport last week and appeared in court on the island this morning.
The MP who was suspended from parliament last year and now lives in New Zealand was taken off a plane by immigration officials amid anti-government protests on the island.
The Solicitor-General asked the court to further delay the hearing because he did not have instructions.
The matter is now due to be heard on Friday.
