Former Prime Minister Mike Moore is to serve a second term as New Zealand's Ambassador to Washington.
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully says he asked Mr Moore to do another three-year term because of his impressive work in strengthening the relationship between New Zealand and the United States.
Mr McCully says there's no one better placed to represent New Zealand as the country gets to the 'business end' of the Trans-Pacific Partnership process.
Mr Moore was also director general of the World Trade Organisation from 1999 to 2002.
Meanwhile, Leon Grice, a former Ministry of Economic Development officer, is to be the next Consul-General in Los Angeles.
