The Green Party has issued its ideas for an economic stimulus package $3.3 billion that it says could save or create 18,000 jobs.
It includes $2 billion over three years for 6000 more state houses and $164 million for home insulation.
It also proposes that $600,000 be spent on fencing and planting the margins of waterways to protect New Zealand's "green" brand.
Party co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons says it would be worth borrowing to fund the package.
