Oranga Tamariki has got involved after three toddlers were found roaming Dunedin's streets barefoot early this morning.

Police in Dunedin were alerted to the trio after they were spotted by a passerby about 5.30am.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said the children aged four, three and two were found on Andersons Bay Road, a busy arterial road.
Officers returned the children to their home in South Dunedin.
Their father was at the address when officers arrived.
