Police evacuated properties near an RSA in Auckland on Monday as they investigated a threat, which they found to be a hoax.

Police said they were notified of a threat to the Grey Lynn RSA about 9.40am.
Officers were evacuating nearby Francis Street as a precautionary measure.
They later said the threat had "no validity" and that they were trying to identify the person responsible for the phone call.
