Covid-19: UK economy plunged into worst recession on record

The United Kingdom has plunged into its worst recession on record.

The British economy shrank 20.4 percent in the second quarter of 2020.

By way of comparison: In its worst month during the 2008 financial crisis, the UK's biggest quarterly contraction was 2.1 percent.
