CNMI Covid-19 cases jump to 11

The number of Covid-19 cases in the Northern Marianas has jumped to 11 after three people tested positive for the coronavirus.

Of the three new cases, two are male, ages 45 and 53, and one is female, aged 53.

The Governor's Taskforce says the cases are being closely monitored by medical teams at the Kanoa Resort, the Governor's identified quarantine location.

Health authorities have already initiated tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new cases.

As of Wednesday, the CNMI tested 45 people for Covid-19.

Of those, 37 tests have been processed, showing 11 positive results, 27 negative and one inconclusive result that will be retested.

There have been two deaths.
