Brisbane have equalled Australian club sport's greatest unbeaten streak with a 2-1 A-League football win over Newcastle.
After battling for much of the contest the Roar escaped with an unlikely victory thanks to a powerful 83rd minute strike from substitute James Meyer.
His goal ensured the Roar stayed undefeated for a record 35 games - matching the 74-year-old record of rugby league's Eastern Suburbs, now known as Sydney Roosters in the NRL.
