Last year's winner Shocking is the new favourite for next Tuesday's Melbourne Cup with bookmakers and punters doubting the ability of Bart Cummings' freak four year old So You Think to see out the ultimate distance.
The two glamour horses are set for another showdown in Saturday's McKinnon Stakes which is over 2000 metres, the longest distance So You Think has raced over, so he'll have to cope with an extra 1200 metres for the Cup on Tuesday.
History is also stacked against So You Think as only six horses have completed the Cox Plate-Melbourne Cup double.
