The New Zealand Winegrowers' chief executive says the industry is looking strong despite a year of challenging weather.
The annual winegrowers' national conference was held in Marlborough this week with more than 500 growers, vintners and industry leaders attending.
This year's programme included technical sessions focused on quality and sustainable grape and wine production, marketing workshops, and discussions of industry issues.
Winegrowers' chief executive Philip Gregan said much time was spent talking about preparation and how to tackle challenges.
He said New Zealand wines were continuing to prove popular overseas and the industry's future was looking promising.
