TV drives decisions on racing in rain, Webber says

Mark Webber claimed Formula One administrators learned many important lessons from the chaos created by the torrential rain during qualifying for Monday's Brazilian Grand Prix at Sao Paulo.

The Australian, who took second place on the grid for his Red Bull team after surviving the treacherous conditions, said mistakes were made - particularly to start the session when it was clearly too wet and dangerous.

Webber doesn't think it was the right thing to start in those conditions and he says every driver he spoke to was of the same opinion.

He says that fortunately, the right decision was made in the end, but TV drives things.

Twice in the two opening periods of qualifying the session was red-flagged, the second time after a violent accident involving Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi in his Force India car.
