Their next match is against Tamil Eelam, who are drawn from the Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora community in Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, in the playoffs for 13-16th place.

The World Cup is organised by the Confederation of Independent Football Associations and was first staged in 2014 for regions and states not affiliated to football's world governing body FIFA.

Northern Cyprus, Padania, Kárpátalja and Székely Land have all advanced to the semi finals.
