A team from Argentina will be included in Super Rugby from 2016 to keep the Pumas in the Rugby Championship.

New Zealand Rugby's chief executive Steve Tew revealed details of the new competition today that'll include two new teams, although the format has yet to be announced.

Tew says giving Argentina a Super Rugby team is crucial to it's future in the Rugby Championship.

He says the Argentinian Union wants a Super Rugby team to prevent the next generation of Pumas being locked into European competitions.
