Oscars 2017: The awards as they happened

This year's Academy Awards ended with an embarrassing mistake, but included wins by black actors for the first time in three years.

• Moonlight won Best Picture, but not before it was wrongly awarded to La La Land.
• Emma Stone won best actress for La La Land.
• Casey Affleck won best actor for Manchester By The Sea.
• Viola Davis won best supporting actress for Fences, and Mahershala Ali won best supporting actor for Moonlight.
• New Zealand film editor John Gilbert claimed a gold for his work on Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge.
• Another New Zealander, Dan Lemmon from Weta Digital, won for his work on visual effects for The Jungle Book.
