Enphase Energy, which manufactures solar-power equipment, is a United States-based company that sells its products worldwide.

Enphase Energy chief executive Paul Nahi, who was in Christchurch today, said the company's facility in the city employed 24 staff and was the second biggest outside the United States.

Paul Nahi said the company had a strong set of engineers in the city developing its most complex next-generation products.

He said their aim was to expand, hire more engineers, and do more projects in the city.
